In 2001, Australia's National Rugby League (NRL) were looking for greater distribution and penetration of the corporate hospitality market and sought an agent to help them achieve this objective.
Specifically, the NRL wanted to attract a wider hospitality audience than the traditional rugby league buyer. MatchPoint developed a targeted sales and marketing campaign, focussing not only on established local businesses but also strategically targeting new companies setting up in and around Sydney.

Additionally, the NRL wanted to improve the quality of the corporate experience. MatchPoint introduced style and vibrancy into the hospitality, whilst also investing in service levels and entertainment. MatchPoint's programme of hospitality has resulted in high levels of repeat business from loyal clients and increased numbers attending year on year.

From hospitality levels of approximately 200 guests per game, MatchPoint has increased the programme to over 2000 guests between the two matches - a 425% increase.
"MatchPoint have increased the level of sales of corporate hospitality guests to over 2000 covers a year. Additionally, they have helped us to raise the bar in the quality of the experience to provide added value to our hospitality offering. We are pleased to be working with MatchPoint and have been appreciative of the service they have provided the rugby league corporate market."
