Highland Bierfest nominated for a Scottish Event Award
The Highland Bierfest, now in its fifth year, has been nominated for a prestigious “Scottish Event Award”. The annual awards ceremony recognises the very best in event excellence in Scotland, and the panel has recognised the importance the event now holds in the Aberdeen business community by shortlisting the Highland Bierfest in the “Best Corporate Event” category.
The Highland Bierfest brings the Munich Oktoberfest to Aberdeen, complete with oompah bands, genuine Oktoberfest beers, a bavarian feast, and traditional German frauleins. It provides an opportunity for businesses in Aberdeen to entertain their clients, suppliers and staff in a fun, relaxed environment.
MatchPoint, the company behind the Highland Bierfest, have won the “Best Corporate Hospitality” award for the past two years, and are looking to win one of the esteemed awards for the third year in a row.
Neil Cunningham, Group Managing Director for the MatchPoint Group, was delighted by the nomination - “We are thrilled that after four years of hard work and consistent growth, the success of the Highland Bierfest has been recognised by the industry. It’s a first for Aberdeen to have an event honoured in this way and it shows that Aberdeen can provide first class client entertainment options”
The Highland Bierfest takes place this year on Friday 24th September in the AECC. The Scottish Event Awards are held in Glasgow on 9th September.
